ANNUAL REPORT JULY 1, 2019 – JUNE 30, 2020
Good Works Life Recovery House was officially licensed on May 1, 2014.
Value Behavioral Health remains our primary funding source, and we have received several referrals from our local SCA’s.
Since welcoming our first client on 1/19/15, over 240 women have been admitted to our program. We serve the following counties in the VBH network: Crawford, Mercer, Venango, Fayette, Greene, Armstrong, Westmoreland, Indiana, Washington, Butler, Lawrence, and Beaver. In 2017 we also began serving Cambria County, a member of the Magellen Network. Through PerformCare, we serve the Capital Counties, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster and Lebanon. We were also recently awarded a contract with Community Care (CCBH) which includes the following counties: Allegheny, Bedford, Blair, Lycoming-Clinton, Northcentral, and Somerset.
Our program is supported by valuable partnerships with Community Action, Career Link, The Salvation Army of Uniontown, Domestic Violence, Penn State Co-op, Private Industry Council, Dress for Success, St. Vincent De Paul, Woodforest Bank, Adagio Women’s Health, Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force. Fayette County Health Department and several local churches.
Over the past year, despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have found ways for our clients to enjoy many recreational activities including visiting local parks, Duda’s Farm & pumpkin patch, an overnight camping trip at Chestnut Ridge Campground, and more. We also have guests and specialists who come in to teach classes such as nutrition, health, arts & crafts, and more with the women.
At various intervals of treatment, clients have completed anonymous satisfaction surveys. Results remain favorable.
